Our sociable clients came with a unique idea of a front-yard ‘happy hour’ patio, as a natural way to mingle with neighbors on the block while their dogs get playtime at the end of the workday. Their dream was a bourbon rail where neighbors could chat over a drink or two on weeknights or leisurely family get togethers over the weekends.
We sure had our work cut out to bring those moments to life… we were intentional (and cautious) about the design, scale and material choices, so it complemented the 1930s architecture of the home while also working for the modern, fun lifestyle of its young homeowners. We were able to see this vision come to life beautifully, as our clients got together with family and friends to celebrate the completion of this project and kick-off a wonderful summer season of good company and delightful conversations.
